Today on my 10K training plan was meant to be:
- Dynamic stretch warmup
- 3km at 7:00 – 8:00 min/km pace
- 1 x 30 second hill sprint
- 3km at 7:00 – 9:00 min/km pace
Of course the first 3km would be too short to count for my run challenge run. So here’s what I ended up doing:
- Dynamic stretch warmup (first time I’ve done one in this challenge – my warmup is always walking)
- 4.2 km in 30 minutes at an average pace of 7:08 mins/km, average heart rate of 149 bpm (my Run Challenge run)
- 1 x 40 second hill sprint up Huntriss Road hill
- 3 km in 22:46 at average pace of 7:35 mins/km.
I backed off on the run challenge run, running well within my range. All in all a good workout.
