Day 62 Run Challenge

Well I took my own advice from yesterday to not push the pace today and it worked. No pain or fatigue in my anterior tibialis.

I aimed for 7:30 min/km, rather than my target heart rate. I also ran on the grass to change the stresses on my legs. Worked like a charm.

So I ended up running 4.01 km in the 30 minutes at an average pace of 7:28 mins/km, average heart rate of 145 bpm.

Since I have a 10 km race coming up in 3 days, I’m going to take it easy til then. If I was going to improve my speed before Sunday I had to do it today.

After the run I played soccer, but I stayed back in defense. Still managed to run 5.93 km in 1:25:17, but with an average heart rate of 135 bpm, it’s obvious that most of that was walking. I just tried to keep moving the whole time.
