Day 5: And It’s Hot Out There

Not gonna lie – this was a tough one. First run in 30+ weather (90F+). Humidity was way down with a hot wind off the desert, but a thunderstorm is just about to hit, so there’s a claustrophobic feel in the air.

Couldn’t manage to run much more than a km at a time without a walk break. But feeling great about my running after getting through back to back challenges.

It didn’t help that I started the run already dehydrated, but I couldn’t go much later or I’d have to run in the pouring rain. Cat’s also got a Christmas rehearsal on tonight, so I couldn’t wait and see.

Ended up doing the 6km in 41:20. At least that’s better than the pram run on Tuesday.
